Giraffe Tools sells garden watering and cleaning equipment through a UK shop. Before comparing a retractable hose reel or pressure washer, sketch the area where it will be used. Mark the tap, power supply where relevant, mounting position and the furthest point you need to reach. Measure the practical route around corners and obstacles rather than a straight line through the garden. A reel that reaches the lawn but not the far side of the car may be inconvenient for the job you had in mind. Think about where the hose will lie during use and whether it would cross a doorway or walkway. These basic measurements are more useful than selecting solely on the largest advertised discount.

A wall-mounted product needs a suitable installation location. Read the exact model’s instructions for the mounting surface, supplied fixings and clearance. Do not assume every wall, fence or lightweight panel can support the same equipment. Leave room for the reel to move as intended and for the hose to feed without rubbing sharply against a corner. If installation is outside your experience, arrange appropriate help before placing the order. The product photograph may show a finished setup rather than every fitting needed for your property. Check the included parts list and the connections to your existing tap or water supply. Record the model number so that accessories and future support queries are matched to the right product.
Think about how the equipment will be stored between jobs and during periods of unsuitable weather. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for draining, cleaning, protection and storage rather than leaving a unit permanently exposed without checking its instructions. Keep hose connections and attachments organised so that the next use does not begin with a search for a missing fitting. Look at the availability of compatible accessories before buying a specialist model, but avoid ordering spares without confirming the correct specification. Review delivery coverage and the final charge for your address at checkout. A general free-shipping statement does not establish that every bulky order or destination is covered on identical terms.
